The essentials.

We open in May 2026. We will confirm the exact date privately for anyone enquiring closer to the time.

Three room types — Beach View Deluxe, Deluxe, and Standard. Dimora Blu is a boutique guesthouse; at full occupancy we host around fifteen guests.

Yes. Dimora Blu is family-friendly. The Beach View Deluxe sleeps up to four, and we can arrange a cot. The bikini beach right in front is gentle, the distances are short, and the neighbours are friendly.

Arrival and travel.

International flight to Velana International (Malé), then a twenty-minute domestic flight with Maldivian Airlines to Dharavandhoo. We book the domestic leg. Our reps meet you at the airport and it is about a two-minute buggy ride to Dimora Blu.

A free thirty-day visa is issued on arrival for most nationalities. Your passport needs six months' validity and you'll need proof of onward travel.

Yes — a public ferry and speedboats run from Malé, but the domestic flight is quicker and simpler. We'd recommend flying unless you have a specific reason to sail.

On the island.

Maldives is a Muslim country, and alcohol is not served or sold on local islands including Dharavandhoo. If this matters, we can arrange a day visit to a nearby resort where alcohol is served.

The bikini beach is right in front of Dimora Blu — swimwear is welcome there. Everywhere else on the island, we ask guests to dress modestly out of respect for the community.

Absolutely. Dharavandhoo is a welcoming island — you are already on it when you stay at Dimora Blu. Walking around in the mornings or evenings is one of the quiet pleasures of staying here.

Yes, great Wi-Fi throughout Dimora Blu — reliable enough for video calls.

Food and dietary needs.

Breakfast, half board, and full board — you choose at booking. Meals are served at our rooftop restaurant at Dimora Blu. Dinner is a rotating menu of Maldivian and international dishes with the local catch as the centrepiece.

All catered for. Tell us at the time of booking and the kitchen will plan accordingly.

There are a handful of cafés on Dharavandhoo. Feel free to explore. We'll suggest the better ones.

Experiences and excursions.

May through November, with peak feeding events usually between June and October around the full and new moons. Hanifaru Bay is ten minutes by speedboat from Dimora Blu — we time trips accordingly.

Helpful but not required. All experiences are booked and paid separately. We will build an itinerary with you on arrival if you prefer to decide as you go.

We can arrange an introductory dive in shallow water for beginners. For deeper dives, you'll need to be PADI-certified or equivalent.
