Dimora Blu

Plan your visit

Twenty minutes
from Malé.

Dharavandhoo is one of the few local islands with its own airport. The journey from Velana International takes a morning — no speedboat transfer, no overnight in Malé.

01

Arrive at Velana International (MLE).

Most guests arrive through Velana International Airport in Malé. Immigration takes around thirty minutes; after that, you'll walk a short distance to the domestic terminal.

02

Domestic flight to Dharavandhoo (DRV).

A twenty-minute flight with Maldivian Airlines to Dharavandhoo Airport. We book this for all guests in advance — it's included in most packages, and we'll coordinate timings.

03

A short buggy ride to Dimora Blu.

The airport is on the edge of Dharavandhoo itself. We'll meet you with a buggy on arrival — a few minutes through the village and you're at the house.

Good to
know.

Visa.

A free thirty-day tourist visa is issued on arrival for most nationalities. You'll need a passport valid for at least six months, and proof of onward travel.

Currency.

The Maldivian Rufiyaa is the local currency, but US Dollars and cards are widely accepted. Expect to pay in cash for small purchases in the village.

Alcohol.

Maldives is a Muslim country; alcohol is not served or sold on local islands. If it matters, we can arrange a day visit to a nearby resort where it is served.

Bikini beach.

Dharavandhoo's tourism-designated bikini beach is right in front of Dimora Blu — swimwear is welcome here. Elsewhere on the island, modest dress is appreciated.

Best season.

The dry season runs from December to April. Manta season runs from May to November. We're open year-round; each has its character.

What to pack.

Reef-safe sunscreen, swimwear, a light cover-up for the village, comfortable walking shoes. Everything else is at the house.

We'll handle the flights.
